PEADIATRIC PHYSIOTHERAPY
Paediatric physiotherapy helps children to achieve their optimal physical development. The therapy may incluse soft tissue massage, mobilization, stretching, posture maintainable and some therapeutic exercises. The children may have any disability, handicapped conditions, acquired illness, congenital illness etc. The physiotherapist should understand the physical and mental condition of the child before entering into the sessions. The atmosphere is very important in the cases of paediatrics.
Management
•The arm exercises may be done with ball works or by make them to draw.
•Children above the age of 7 has the knowledge of their own body and then it will be little more easier to exercise them, when compared to the small kids.
•Fully supporting chair or bouncing cradle can be used for children having spinal issues.
•When the child's sitting ability increases, the supporting measures can be slightly replaced with cushions.
•Independent mobility should be aided.
•Specialised equipments should use for the children
with delayed or disordered motor activities.
